It's "Bring Your Daughter to Work" Day, and Penny, who would rather hang out with her friends, is forced by Trudy to go with her to the veterinarian office. There, she is tasked with cleaning duty. She meets Tristan the Magician, who is visiting Trudy to see what's wrong with his tiger, Sasha. While Trudy is checking up on her, Penny discovers that she can talk to the tiger. She learns that Sasha is actually a male tiger named AJ, who is not amused by Tristan mistreating him, giving him a poor diet and constantly mistaking him for a female. Tristan, despite his skepticism, offers Penny and Trudy tickets to his magic show as thanks. The next day, Penny, much to her chagrin, is once again forced to go with her mother, the twins, and Suga Mama to Tristan's magic show over going with her friends to hang out with Sir Paid-A-Lot. While there, they learn that Tristan is once again mistreating AJ, who eventually goes on a rampage, causing everyone but Penny to run away in fear. AJ reveals that he only did that so that he could talk to Penny. He tells her that he was taken from his home in India as a cub, and wishes to go back. Penny convinces Trudy to help her sneak AJ back home. They take him to the airport disguised as a civilian, where he hitches a ride on Wizard Kelly's airplane, which, coincidentally, happens to be going to India. After the plane leaves, Penny learns to appreciate her family. A few days later, AJ sends a letter to Penny, telling her about India, while her friends all talk about how bad their day was with Sir Paid-A-Lot getting arrested.

- Irony: Penny frets that she's going to have the worst time of her life at "Bring your Daughter to Work" day than if she hangs out with her friends. In the epilogue, it's revealed quite the opposite happened. Her friends can only gripe with one another about how they had a bad day involving Sir Paid-A-Lot getting arrested. Meanwhile, Penny had a rather exciting time with her mom involving a tiger, and came out of the experience with an appreciation for her family, and satisfied she helped AJ return to his home country.
- Too Dumb to Live: AJ's owner still does the things that AJ complained to Penny about. It goes as well as you would expect.
