The girls are doing their usual outing of supeheroing and stop Mojo as per normal. But he suddenly poofed away before they deliver the coop de grace. Mojo soon finds himself amongst Lester Van Luster, a notorious supervillain who shrinks cities and collects them in snowglobes. He hatches a plan to have Mojo distract the girls while Lester adds Townsville as his new collection. Luckily the Professor manage to avoid being shrunk with the city (though shrunk down himself) and informs the girls the only thing that can stop him is the mystical Heartstones. Thus the three head out to find the Heartstone but have to deal with the traps and test to gain them.

- Badass in a Nice Suit: Mojo appears through most in the special in a magician suit.
- Batman Can Breathe in Space: Lampshaded when the girls ask how Mojo's breathing in space. He just claims it's magic.
- Batman Gambit: Buttercup pulls one when the girls go to the arctic and run into Sapna. Due to being near the stone, it makes her crazy and evil and she claims Blosson has caught "Ice Madness". Bubbles and Buttercup seems to believe it and have her tied up. But it was just a ploy for Sapna to lead them to Heartstone. When Sapna requests to see it, Buttercup "drops" it and knocks Sapna back to her senses. Once they leave the cave, Buttercup reveals she dropped a fake and had the real one all along.
- Be Yourself: What Bubbles comes to when she has to face the guardian of the final Heartstone by herself.
- Big Bad: Lester Van Luster is the main threat here.
- The Cameo: The Gnat, Pug Face Paulie, Fuzzy Lumpkins and The Amoeba Boys show up at the start of the special.
- Fun Size: The Professor manages to avoid being shrunk with the city by jumping into a bunker before the magic it. However he was still affected a bit and shrunk down to a chibi size. So he claims, it turns out to really be Lester taking his form. The real Professor was indeed shrunk with the city.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Lester tricks the girls into getting the Heartstones for him to have unlimited magic. The girls end up using them to defeat him.
- Laser-Guided Karma: The girls defeat Lester by shrinking him down and placing him into a snowglobe just as he's done to others.
- Macguffin: The Heartstones.
- Me's a Crowd: Bubbles defeats the final guardian by making constructs of herself and hugging it into submission.
- Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Mojo naturally turns against Lester once he betrays him after gaining the Heartstones.
- Near-Villain Victory: Van Luster nearly does win since he had the girls deliver him the Heartstone, turned them into toys and still had Townsville in his grasp. It's only because Mojo came back to get revenge, that his plan is thwarted.
- Only the Chosen May Wield: As the girls all earned the power to wield the Heartstones. This allows them to stop Lester's attack when he tries to use the stone's magic against them. Once they realize this, they quickly turn the tables.
- Running Gag:
- "If there's no moon, what will the cow jump over" (Shows the picture of a real cow who moos)
- Bubbles leading a flock of geese before having to leave them and the geese flying off in disarray because they now have no leader. At the end, Mojo becomes their leader after Lester turns him into a geese.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: The Pizza Guy claims he was wandeing the temple for two years trying to deliver a pizza. When he finally gets it to the guard lady who ordered it. She proclaims it's cold and refuses to pay for it.
- Shrink Ray: Van Lester specializes in using his magic to shrink cities and monuments.
- Villain Team-Up: Lester claims he wants to team with Mojo to help take over Townsville. But it later turns out he just wanted him as a distraction so he could shrink Townsville.
- Voluntary Shapeshifting:
- Sapna shows that she can partially control the spider transformations now and "making progess" in finding a cure.
- Lester can apparently take the form of others as he transforms into a chibi looking Professor to trick the girls into looking for the Heartstones.
- What Would X Do?: Bubbles ask this when she gets lost in the temple while the girls are looking for the last Heartstone. Trying to emulate Blossom and Buttercup's styles to get through.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Once Lester gains the Heartstones and defeats the girls. He flat out proclaims to Mojo he was just using him to get what he wants.
