While going through the Professor's collection of memories of the girls' exploits, Bubbles finds nothing about her and thus questions her worth as a superhero. Blossom and Buttercup try to cheer Bubbles up but their tales of how Bubbles "contributed" to their heroics only make things worse. Bubbles is inconsolable until the girls, the Professor and Townsville's citizens stage a surprise for her.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Abnormal Ammo: The Rubber Bandit shoots rubber bands off his hands as part of his defense. Unsurprisingly, they bounce harmlessly off the girls.
  • Art Shift: Played with. Blossom pulls out a photo of her and her confrontation with Abracadaver in the original series. Blossom comments "Boy, I sure looked different."
  • "Be Quiet!" Nudge: Blossom has to do this several times to Buttercup to keep her from being insensitive to Bubbles.
  • Cheer Up Episode: Bubbles feels discouraged about her place on the team, so Blossom and Buttercup do everything they can to try to cheer her up.
  • Flashback: Blossom and Buttercup flashback to battles in which they think Bubbles may have helped out during to prove her usefulness. However, in both instances they are the ones who saved the day and their stories only serve to further Bubbles’ sadness.
  • Hero with an F in Good: Bubbles seems to think this of herself as she feels she serves no useful purpose to the team.
  • Hit Flash: A “Boom!” hit flash censors the girls getting hit with a rubber band bomb.
  • Middle Child Syndrome: Bubbles begins to feel worthless after finding out that the Professor has no mementos of her while having lots for her sisters.
  • Nobody Here but Us Statues: The girls disguise themselves as dolls to hide from the Rubber Bandit.
  • Noodle Incident: The episode begins with the girls talking about their latest fight at a cardboard box factory with an enemy named Boxulon.
  • The Power of Love: Everyone in Townsville—even Mojo Jojo—gathers at the Powerpuffs' home to rally for Bubbles, testifying about what she's done for them and how much she means to them. (Mojo's testimony is that after the girls beat the crap out of him, Bubbles showed him how to administer first aid to himself.)
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: Bubbles’ excited response when the Rubber Bandit asks her if she’d like a Salvador Dolly with a frilly new dress, which is actually a bomb.
    Bubbles: Frilly? New? Dress?!
  • Pungeon Master
    • The Rubber Bandit, from his name to the merchandise he tries to steal - “Salvador Dollies.”
    • The ice cream monster, Popsicles, also has quite a few puns during his appearance.
Popsicles: You’re about to go down a very rocky road.
  • Shout-Out
    • Oddly enough, there are several references to Salvador Dalí in this episode.
    • During Buttercup’s flashback to their fight with Popsicles, he turns multiple people into various ice cream treats. One woman gets frozen into an ice cream sandwich in a way that resembles Han Solo getting frozen into carbonite.
    • Popsicles also turns Blossom and Bubbles into ice cream bars that resemble the classic Powerpuff Girls ice cream truck treats that are always deformed.
