The girls spend a day at the local lake and enjoying themsevles when the water is suddenly drained from it as well as the rest of the city. The girls soon find out that Man Boy has taken the water for himself to water the lawn around his lair. So the girls head off to stop him to get the water back.

- Animate Inanimate Object: The bottle cap Buttercup manages to find can apparently talk. Either that or Buttercup's imagining it.
- Banana in the Tailpipe: Buttercup stops Man Boy's lawnmower by plugging the exhaust pipe with her bottle cap.
- Beachcombing: Buttercup spends most of the episode using a metal detector to look for bottle caps.
- Exactly What I Aimed At: During Buttercup's fight against Man Boy after he loses his beard, he throws a wrench at her. She dodges and thinks that he missed, until the object the wrench hit was a pipe that let out steam which obscures Buttercup's vision allowing Man Boy to get a easy hit on her.
- Failed a Spot Check: Bubbles despairs that they will never find out who stole the water, even as she is standing in front of a "Property of Man Boy" sign on a pipe.
- Hidden Depths: Buttercup collects bottle caps.
- Mars Needs Water: Man Boy steals all of Townsville's water just to water his enormous lawn.
- Naked People Are Funny: The mayor comes to the girls in nothing but his towel, which falls off twice in front of the girls.
- No Kill like Overkill: Man Boy's uses his suped up lawn mower to try and kill Blossom and Bubbles.
- Skewed Priorities: Buttercup spends the episode trying to find the bottle cap that'll complete her collection rather then trying to help stop Man Boy. Least till the climax.
- Stuffy Brit: Inexplicably part of Man Boy's army. When he asks why he even has them, they respond that Britain is an economic superpower.
- Worthless Yellow Rocks: Buttercup finds a gold medal but throws it away because it's not the rare bottle cap she was looking for.
