While on a school trip to the zoo, Bubbles wishes to see a real unicorn, only to get ridiculed for believing they exist. She remains steadfast that unicorn are real, and seemingly manages to call one to her. But it turns out to be a talking pony named Donny, who wants to be a unicorn. So Bubbles takes him to the Professor to see if they can make Donny one through the use of a transformation ray. Unfortunately, the process ends up turning Donny into a monster, who proceeds to rampage through Townsville.

- Body Horror: After Donny gets hit with the ray, the angrier he gets, the more he mutates. Luckily, the unicorns turn him back to normal.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Donny says this word for word after he smacks Bubbles into a building vent during his outburst, and breaks her "unicorn summoning horn" in the process.
- Read the Fine Print: Professor Utonium warns Donny what the effect the ray could have on him, and gives him a contract that frees him from any liabilty. Donny "skims" it and immediately signs.
- Real After All: Turns out there really are unicorns in the Powerpuffs' world, and Donny's one too, he just never noticed since his mane was blocking his horn.
