Flash's recent heroic duties have caused problems with his band, Flash Drive. Flash promises to make it up at a big charity concert they are performing at the next day, but problems arise when an alien race called the Conductoids invade and cause a city-wide blackout. Can Flash deal with these energy thieves and make it back in time to perform with his band?
- Bittersweet Ending: Flash defeats the Conductoids and saves the hostages they took, but he arrives back at the concert too late and his band kick him out. Though depressed by this, Flash is still glad he saved others and decides to think about his future as a hero.
- Brain Food: The Conductoids don't eat physical brains, but they can drain the electrical pulses from a brain the same way they drain electricity from machines. They take Shining Armor and a few civilians captive, intending to have them as a "snack" once they get their ship fixed.
- Dude, Not Funny!: After Flash tells Trixie how Ringo and Brawly are mad at him and he needs to make it up to them at the concert, Trixie jokingly asks if they might be looking for a new guitar and lead singer, suggesting she take his place in the band. She laughs at her own joke until she sees Flash glaring at her.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: The Conductoids show that they know when it is better to cut and run a few times.
- The reason they invaded Earth to refuel their ship is because the previous cosmic storm they found had a To'kustar living in it, and they know they are no match for something like that.
- With Volt-Edge and the Conductoids fighting to a stalemate, Volt-Edge eventually threatens to blow up their ship and leave them stranded on Earth forever if they don't leave immediately and leave their prisoners behind. The leader agrees to leave when Volt-Edge shows he will go through with this threat if he has to.
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Flash gets a call from Shining Armor and heads out with Trixie to save him and the other hostages from the Conductoids. Flash manages to defeat them and save the city from a blackout, but he misses the concert and is kicked out of his band.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: After Flash changes back from Volt-Edge, the Omnitrix needs to recharge, and Flash is desperate to get back to the concert, wanting to go XLR8 to get back fast. Shining Armor gives him a ride back, and as soon as they arrive the Omnitrix turns green, indicating it is ready for use again. Flash just lets out a frustrated "Seriously?" at this.
