The company has an issue when the warehouse guys win the lottery and all quit their jobs. Darryl feels that he is not being appreciated by the company after losing the chance to participate in the winning lottery bid.
To make up for the loss when Phyllis has to send a big delivery, Erin, Jim, Dwight and Kevin work on the warehouse for the day.

- Character Development: Darryl realizes that he needs to actually take initiative and continue his ideas, instead of letting the higher ups know an idea and then just seeing how it goes.
- Dude, Where's My Respect?: Darryl believes that the company does not respect him, since he was never even really considered to Michael's job and Andy, someone much more dimwitted than him, takes over.
- Put on a Bus: The entire warehouse staff, who win the lottery and quit immediately. Most of them are never seen again.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Downplayed, Andy doesn't list the reasons why Darryl sucks, but the reasons why he failed. He mentions that the man simply stops pushing things forward very often, and the higher ups, especially Jo, who really liked him, noticed that quickly.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: As Andy mentions, Darryl has no business training, so that was a huge drawback on hiring him as manager. And he had selected his friend Glenn to replace him as foreman, even though he was unqualified, and management took notice of it. Andy also reminds him that Darryl had been given a big opportunity by Jo, who loved him with his new delivery ideas, but he never pushed that forward and she noticed that.
