- Call-Back
- Zuul, motherfuckers!
- Black Willy Wonka reappears.
- Agent Schmuck's reappearance is heralded by the burning doves from the Critic's Face/Off review.
- To the previous review, when he still refers to Neo as Tom.
- Color Wash: Scenes with the Critic, Malcolmus and Tamity have a noticeable green tint, just like the entire movie.

- Shout-Out: The Critic calls Morpheus' Rousing Speech to the masses in Zion to be just like every movie speech ever.
- Strangled by the Red String: Parodied In-Universe by Tamity suddenly declaring her love for the Critic, much like how Neo and Trinity suddenly gained a romantic chemistry.Critic: Where the hell did that come from?!
