Film: Ghost Rider (2007)
Tagline: Let's close out Nicolas Cage month with an image we’re used to seeing: Cage's skull burst out of his face.
This review contains examples of:
- Broken Aesop: His editorial of "Is Parody Dead?" taught that people shouldn't make parodies of stuff simply because it's popular when they themselves don't know much about it. With the three times My Little Pony was mentioned, that's exactly what he did.
- Shout-Out:
- After the below mentioned Take That! to bad My Little Pony fan-fiction, the review then has a Cutaway Gag of Fluttershy talking to a "Pony Ghost Rider" animated in the style of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
- He refers to Blackheart's thugs as his "droogs".
- Subverted Catchphrase: "I'm the Nostalgia Critic, and a new year of madness is on the way."
- Take That!:
- He compares the movie to a badly written My Little Pony fan-fiction.
- In the Freeze-Frame Bonus on the bible text, it wrote "Also try not to use this book about teaching love to judge and hate, but what're the odds of that happening?"
- To quote the Critic during the Devil's scene.
- The Unintelligible: Sam Elliott. Taken to a natural extreme when "Elliott" advertises the "Sam Wow" (a Sham Wow cut into the shape of a giant mustache).Woman: Just speak English, you geriatric Yosemite Sam!
- What Does She See in Him?: NC has this reaction when Roxanne comes to Johnny's apartment trying to fight for him when he's trying to get her out of his life.
