Film: The Flintstones (1994)
This review contains examples of:
- Bias Steamroller: Critic hates this film for no other reason than that it's about the Flintstones.
- Disney Death: Subverted. When the bird claims that it should have worked for Disney if it didn't want to die, the Critic points out that Disney's been killing off plenty of major characters for real, such as Bambi's mom, or Mufasa.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: In-Universe. The Critic notices the movie theater at the beginning is playing "Tar Wars", and wishes he could be watching that movie instead.
- Flipping the BirdCliff: Give me the bird.Critic: Gladly! (blows on his hand and raises the middle finger)
- He Panned It, Now He Sucks!: In-Universe. Critic gets booed when he says that he hates The Flintstones cartoon.
- Hurricane of Puns: Critic says that there are so many puns that they physically hurt him.
- Lame Pun Reaction: When the opening card "Steven Spielrock presents" comes up.Critic: So we start with... a pun using the word "rock". This is definitely a Flintstones product.
- Rule of Three:Critic: This movie sucks, this movie sucks, this movie SUCKS!
- Shout-Out
- Critic says that Pebbles looks like one of the Olsen twins and proceeds to play the Full House theme song over her.
- "Science of Wile E. Coyote, don't fail me now!"
- When Critic is appalled by the casting of Elizabeth Taylor as Mrs. Slaghoople, he figures "it can work both ways" and shows the poster for Cleopatra with Wilma's face pasted over Taylor's.
