This review contains examples of:

- This is not the first time the Critic couldn't talk due to the lack of quality in a movie.
- The Cameo: Ma-Ti, Dr. Insano, Chester A. Bum and 90s Kid briefly appear during the shooting-in-the-dark scene, only to get shot immediately after.
- Crossdresser: Twice in the review, Spoony makes The Critic say "I like to wear women's clothing!" by typing it into his speech program.
- Crossover: With Linkara and Spoony.
- Dumb Struck: He got so traumatized by the awfulness of the movie, he couldn't speak.

- Lost Voice Plot: He couldn't speak due to the awfulness of the movie.
- Retirony: Repeatedly invoked on various side characters as a Running Gag.

- Shout-Out: The title card and ending sequence parody The Three Stooges. The title card also uses the theme from the Three Stooges short "Yes, We Have No Bonanza".
- Synthetic Voice Actor: The Critic has no actual spoken dialogue apart from using a text-to-speech program.
- With Lyrics: The trio add lyrics to the Star Wars theme when the endless Opening Scroll is shown in Alone in the Dark:All: (singing) Boooooooring, this is so booooooring, this is so boooooooring, get to the show!
