Fran inherits a mink coat from her great-aunt, but doesn't want to wear it due to her beliefs.
- Ask a Stupid Question...: C.C ask how did the over one-hundred old great-aunt of Fran died, leading Niles to answers she died in childbirth.
- Bait-and-Switch: Fran tries to tell C.C. about keeping her mink coat after she asked to buy it, then Sylvia takes the coat and gives it to C.C., saying "looks good on a blond!"
- It's Fake Fur, It's Fine:Fran: Ma, I only wear fake fur. And do you know why?
Sylvia: Yes, because no one ever died and left you a real one before. - Mistaken for Pregnant: Yetta mistakes Marsha as being pregnant because she is stuffing herself. Once Marsha correct her, Yetta immediatly tell her to stop eating.
- Soapbox Sadie: Maggie, for the duration of this episode. Fran herself used to be one, for other causes.
- We Named the Monkey "Jack": Gracie names her hamsters after her father, her siblings, and Fran (they once had a C.C., but hamster Fran ate her). It leads to this:Grace: Miss Fine's having a baby.
