  13. Boiler room - Scooter reports that they are now free from the boiler room and can leave since the pigs were lured away by Cloris's hog calling contest.
  14. Song: "Just in Time" - Cloris Leachman, Sweetums, and Doglion on a deserted island.

This episode provides the example of:

  • Ambiguous Syntax: In "Just in Time", Sweetums declares that Cloris is quite a dish. Cloris asks whether he means dish as in "attractive" or as in food. It's the latter.
  • Anything but That!: Link's response to seeing the chopped liver monster. When Dr. Strangepork asks what's wrong with chopped liver, Link responds that it gives him gas.
  • Bedsheet Ladder: Fozzie's first plan for escaping the boiler room the pigs have trapped him and Kermit in is to tie some sheets together and escape through the window. The plan falls apart when Kermit points out that the room doesn't have a window.
  • Couch Gag: This week's "Pigs! In! Space!" has the quixotic Captain Link Hogthrob, and the vacuous Ms. Piggy.
  • Crazy Enough to Work: Even if it ends up being unnecessary, you've got to give Gonzo props for successfully digging an escape tunnel through brick with a tiny spoon.
  • Cutlery Escape Aid: In order to get himself, Kermit, and Fozzie out of the boiler room, Gonzo smuggles in a spoon to dig through the wall. It surprisingly works, but it ends being redundant by the time he's finished.
  • Hostile Show Takeover: The pigs take over the show and trap Kermit, Gonzo, and Fozzie in the boiler room. In their place are several pig imposters, including Kermit the Pig.
  • Look Behind You: In the "Just in Time" sketch, Cloris shouts "Look! Up there! Quick!" when Sweetums starts threatening her. When he announces that he's not going to fall for that old gag, a coconut from the island's lone palm tree falls on his head.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Kermit the Pig still looks like a pig despite being otherwise a dead ringer for Kermit, right down to being green. Cloris nearly sees through it, until Mr. the Pig proves his frogness by saying "ribbit". Though since Cloris is the one who saves the theatre, apparently she did see through the disguise after all.
  • Popcorn on the Cob: The Swedish Pig makes popcorn by tossing an ear of corn in the air, then firing a blunderbuss at it.
  • Singing Mountie: Cloris Leachman sings a medley of songs from operettas with a group of pig Mounties.
  • Skewed Priorities: During the first part of the "Pigs in Space" sketch, as the Swinetrek is under attack and lights are flashing, Link's main concern is...that there's a stain on his suit.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Subverted. Miss Piggy is initially quite hostile to the pigs taking over the show and abducting Kermit... until they bribe her with the opening number.

Waldorf: That was weird!
Statler: I'll tell the world!
Waldorf: Go ahead.
Statler: [to the viewers] That was weird!
Waldorf: Weird!
[Both start laughing and shouting "weird".]
