  • Credits Gag: Kermit at one point tells Peter that the hat rack wrote the episode. During the credits, you can see "The Hatrack" underneath the writer's credit!
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Kermit becomes envious of the praise Peter's getting.
  • Musicalis Interruptus: Wayne and Wanda start to sing "Autumn Leaves" in a forest. The song is interrupted when a pile of leaves lands on them.
  • Mythology Gag: This marks the first of two times on the show that Kermit would sing his Sesame Street anthem "Bein' Green". He would sing it again in the Peter Sellers episode.
  • Overly Pre-Prepared Gag: Peter and Fozzie's sketch has Peter tell a rambling story which is the lead to an incredibly lame pun.
  • Slapstick: Rowlf's dance partner gets punched by a hand in the punch bowl.
