Mackenzie declares that the cheerleaders have regained popularity as they and the football team take a group picture, while Brittnay ignores in fury. Later, Brittnay crosses out Mackenzie's face with permanent marker in the picture.

In The Stinger, Jenna receives a visitor in prison, who turns out to be Tanya Berkowitz. In revenge for burning down the Atchison Mall, she brutally injures Jenna through knife stabbing and leaves her to die, concluding the season.

- The Chessmaster: It's revealed that Mackenzie actually orchestrated the entire parent-teacher conference by blowing up Brittnay's car, knowing Brittnay would punch Jenna in the face. She also called Jenna's dad and Cameron for the parent-teacher so they would have an affair, causing him to resign from office. Finally, she recorded Jenna admitting to burning down the Atchison mall and gave it to the police as proof so Jenna could be arrested for arson.
- Foreshadowing: Jenna Darabond not being the one who blew up Brittnay's car was foreshadowed in various hints.
- Back in "Follow the Leader", Jenna says that "I think it's time they learn who they're messing with"; note how she never directly references only Brittnay.
- I Did What I Had to Do: Mackenzie's reasoning for blowing up Brittnay's car.
- Idiot Ball: Not only does Mackenzie craft a plan that specifically involved blowing up one of her best, and most unstable, friend's car, but she then proceeds to openly brag about it to Jenna Darabond right in front of Brittnay when asked how she knew the parent teacher conference would be called. She could have just said that she knew from the moment that Brittnay punched someone that that conference would happen and simply came up with idea on the spot, or she could have framed Jenna for something else entirely and gotten the exact same results, minus an enraged Brittnay.
