Midge rushes back to New York when B. Altman calls, needing a temporary fill-in at the cosmetic counter. She also begins dating Benjamin despite her original misgivings. Meanwhile, Susie eventually lands a gig for Midge, but the gig goes south when Midge spots an unexpected face in the audience.
