"Lori Days"

• Affectionate Gesture to the Head: Whilst announcing her arrival at the Loud residence, Lori ruffles Lincoln's hair.
• But for Me, It Was Tuesday: Luna notes that the Louds getting kicked out of places is a regular occurrence for them.
• Continuity Nod: Lincoln and Lana are seen playing Total Trash Takedown from "Game Off".
• Covered in Mud: All the Loud siblings (sans Lily) end up covered in mud as a result of Vanzilla going backwards into a muddy pond.
• Cue the Rain: When Lori brings her siblings to the park for a picnic, it immediately starts raining.
• "Everybody Laughs" Ending: The Louds have one when Luan brings up the "soggy Vanzilla" incident from earlier in the episode. Lampshaded by Lynn Sr., who wonders why everyone is laughing.
• Food Fight: The Louds start one inside Vanzilla. It gets so intense that Lori accidentally backs the van into a large mud puddle.
• Hairball Humor: Cliff appears briefly to cough up a hairball.
• Hats Off to the Dead: Lana, when presiding over the flushing of the Fox quintuplets' dead goldfish down the Loud house toilet, has her baseball cap taken off in respect.
• Out of Focus: Lily only appears in one scene to introduce herself to Lori as if meeting her for the first time.
• Shout-Out: The episode title is a pun on Bruce Springsteen's single, "Glory Days".
• Third Wheel: Lori briefly acts like this while Luna's on a date with Sam at the movies.

"In The Mick of Time"

• Call-Back: When Luna talks to her friends about her interactions with Mick Swagger, flashbacks to "For Bros About to Rock" and "House Music" are shown.
• Crowd Surfing: Luna does this to try and get to Mick Swagger, but the crowd ends up bringing her in the opposite direction.
• Literal-Minded: Leni, as usual. She's planning a "Cut a Rug" school dance, but has her friend Shelby literally cut rugs as decoration.
• Pineapple Ruins Pizza: Implied when Chunk hands over a pizza to Mick's security guard along with a whole pineapple as an "extra topping".
  Security Guard: You need to leave.
• Pun-Based Title: The episode title is a pun on the idiom, "in the nick of time".
• Puppy-Dog Eyes: Leni does this to get Luna to get Mick Swagger to the dance.
• Series Continuity Error: It is mentioned that Luna ate a breadstick when she met Mick Swagger in disguise in the episode "House Music", but in the episode she ate French fries. Also, the flashback shows Mick Swagger revealing himself at the restaurant when he actually revealed himself at the family fun fair. Though it's possible that Luna added that in to make the story more exciting, this is unlikely however as when Mick does show up, he calls her Breadstick Girl.
• Shock and Awe: Chunk get electrocuted by his laptop when it short-circuits.
• Suspiciously Apropos Music: The song "Double Duty" is about having to work two different events in separate places at the same time, which Luna herself is trying to do by performing at the dance as Mick Swagger and watching the show with Sam as herself.
• Two-Timer Date: Luna has to perform at the dance as Mick Swagger and watch the show with Sam as herself.
