"Much Ado About Noshing"

  • Bland-Name Product: Nosh is one for Yelp.
  • Call-Back: Mrs. Bernardo having applied to work at Lynn's Table and being rejected makes the Louds suspicious that she is the one who left a bad review out of spite for not being hired.
  • Foreshadowing: When Lynn Sr. relaxes against the wall and sits down, New_Nosh123 gives a thumbs down.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: This episode shows that when Lynn Sr. cries hard enough, he bleats like an alpaca.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Principal Huggins does have a point about Lynn's Table's take out containers being too small.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: After hearing that they'll have to cater to Mr. Grouse, Flip, Scoots, Principal Huggins, and Mrs. Bernardo every week for the next year to make up for Lynn Sr. insulting them, Todd runs out of the restaurant.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: It turns out all the thumbs down were coming from Lynn Sr. having accidentally created a Nosh account and hitting the thumbs down button while his phone was in his back pocket.
  • Unsatisfiable Customer: Mr. Grouse, Flip, Scoots, Principal Huggins, and Mrs. Bernardo all wage complaints to varying degrees of ridiculousness, making the Louds all have to bend over backwards to please them.

"Broadcast Blues"

  • Accidental Public Confession: When Chandler leaves to take a phone call, the Action News Team realize Chandler accidentally left his microphone on, allowing them to hear how he was able to afford all the equipment for them. This is what gives Lincoln and friends an idea on how to get Chandler to quit the news team.
  • Blackmail: The Action News Team are finally able to get rid of Chandler by filming him selling jewelry from his dad's sewage plant and threatening to expose him if he doesn't quit the news team.
  • Brick Joke: At one point, Chandler tells the Action News Team that he put skunks in their lockers. At the end of the episode, Dirk gets back at Chandler by putting a skunk in his locker, which sprays him.
  • Camera Abuse: When doing a report in the cafeteria, Chandler takes a chicken leg and smears it on the camera lens.
  • Disguised in Drag: Rusty and Zach pretend to be a boyfriend girlfriend couple with Rusty dressing up as the girlfriend in their plan to catch Chandler on camera admitting he collects items from his dad's sewer plant and resells them.
  • Given Name Reveal: This is the first episode of the show proper to reveal Chandler's surname: McCann.note
  • Huddle Shot: The Action News Team does this a few times.
  • Jerkass: Boy, does Chandler really outdo himself here. He manages to get on the Action News Team by buying them new desperately needed equipment, so that they'll be obligated to give him what he wants. When he is on the news, he spends most of his air time being an obnoxious jerk to everyone just because he can, and if the team tries to do anything about it, he just sways them into reconsidering by buying them more equipment in exchange for bigger segments that allow him to antagonize others further. And when they finally have had enough and force him to quit, he takes all of his equipment back out of petty spite, knowing that they can't do the news without it, and likely figuring that the team will have to discontinue the news as a result; in other words, he figures that if he can't be on the air, then he won't let anyone else either.
  • Noodle Incident: Chandler has given the News Team a duffle bag with poop in it, which is why Liam sniffs it first.
  • Smelly Skunk: Chandler gets sprayed by a skunk in the end as payback for making fun of the way Dirk walks.
