Ronnie Anne and Bobby visit their crazy, chaotic extended family. Bobby fits in great but Ronnie Anne struggles with the smothering nature of their relatives. Little do they know, their mother has a secret motive. What they do not know is that their mother plans to get together with their family. It is up to Ronnie Anne to convince her that she will not move, but will it be worth it?

This episode serves as the Backdoor Pilot for Ronnie Anne's spin-off show, The Casagrandes.

"The Loudest Mission: Relative Chaos"

  • Artistic License – Animal Care: Lalo licks the chocolate cake off of Ronnie Anne, and Sergio eats a chocolate chip cookie. Dogs and parrots aren't supposed to have chocolate.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Ronnie Anne is the clear focus of the episode.
  • Big Friendly Dog: Lalo.
  • Big "WHAT?!": Lincoln when Ronnie Anne tells him she's moving. Lori has an even bigger one shortly after.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Bobby, Ronnie Anne, and their mom have moved in with the Casagrandes, but they are finding ways to make it work and and they're happy to be surrounded by a family who loves them.
  • Blazing Inferno Hellfire Sauce: Grandma Rosa adds a drop of hot sauce to a dish that causes it to blow into a small mushroom cloud.
  • Breaking Old Trends: The first two-part episode where Lincoln does not speak to the viewer.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Lincoln teaches Ronnie Anne how to do so, stating that it's his coping mechanism to survive being in a big family.
  • Cats Are Mean: There's a gang of vicious alley cats outside the bodega. They end up tearing the place apart when Ronnie Anne and her mother accidentally leave the door open.
  • Comedic Underwear Exposure: Bobby and his grandfather suffer this. Grandpa’s pants get pulled down by the cats, and Bobby then removes his own pants to show he’s wearing the same kind of Goofy Print Underwear.
  • Dingy Trainside Apartment: Ronnie Anne tries to get away from her doting family and their super-crowded apartment. She finally settles peacefully on the sofa after one relative's snoring wakes her... only to have an elevated train go rumbling by loudly.
  • Disappeared Dad: Mr. Santiago is not seen or mentioned at all. It's heavily implied by Mrs. Santiago that she's probably raising her kids as a single parent.
  • Drives Like Crazy: Lori does this twice. The first time she does this is when she becomes very emotional when Bobby is about to leave to visit his extended family on his mother's side. The second time she does this is when she is seen speeding after finding out that he is going to move in with them.
  • Establishing Character Moment: No more than a minute when they first appear on-screen do we get a good indication of what of kind of distinct character traits each Casagrande family member has.
  • Goofy Print Underwear: Bobby and his grandfather both wear boxers with jalapeño peppers on them.
  • Greed: Grandpa Casagrande seems to be kind of a cheapskate.
  • Hidden Depths: Bobby is shown to have quite a bit of business-savviness when working at his grandpa's bodega, which is probably due to him working so many part-time jobs (one of which was at a supermarket). He also develops a surprisingly sophisticated plan to make his and Lori's relationship work even after the move.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Bobby complains that Ronnie Anne is treating him like a baby when she mentions that she packed a toy bag for him. Just before that remark, he had been crying his eyes out at having to spend a weekend without Lori, and just afterward, he asks if she brought his sticker books.
  • I Choose to Stay: In the end, Ronnie Anne decides to stay in Great Lakes City with her family.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: Lori and Bobby weep uncontrollably at the prospect of having to spend the weekend apart. Lincoln and Ronnie Anne are so annoyed at this they have to pry them apart from each other.
  • Irony: Despite his aforementioned Inelegant Blubbering over having to be separated from Lori for the weekend, Bobby has no problems with moving in with the Casagrande family, even though it means being away from Lori for much longer than he previously thought. It could be, however, that he is already thinking of a way the two can still be together even after the move.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Lori ultimately comes to this conclusion about Bobby staying with his family when she finally talks to him about the situation.
  • Love Potion: Ronnie Anne puts one of her grandma's love potions on a cookie for Lori to give Bobby so she can get his attention. Sergio ends up eating it.
  • Meaningful Name: "Casagrande" means "Big House" in Spanish.
  • Multigenerational Household: The Casagrande-household not only has Maria Santiago's parents, but her brother, her brother's wife, the four children of her brother and his wife, and, in the end, Maria and her two kids.
  • Painful Body Waxing: Ronnie Anne is put through this by Carlota.
  • Poorly Disguised Pilot: Considering how it heavily features Ronnie Anne and her relatives as the main focus and how the ending had them stay in the city, it comes off like one. She's ultimately made to live in a refurbished closet, and Lincoln even teaches her how to break the fourth wall like he does. A year later after this aired, a spin-off was indeed announced.
  • Put on a Bus: Subverted. Ronnie Anne and Bobby no longer live in Royal Woods, but due to Nickelodeon airing the episodes out of production order, it is known that they will still be part of the series, mainly via video chat.
  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: Bobby is very shocked to learn that Sergio is still alive.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: A Running Gag: Lincoln says this every time someone refers to him as Ronnie Anne's boyfriend. On two occasions, he says it in unison with Ronnie Anne.
  • Ship Sinking: Subverted. Although Ronnie Anne and Bobby have moved, they intend to at least try to keep up long-distance relationships with Lincoln and Lori, respectively.
  • Shipper on Deck: Ronnie Anne's "familia" photo collection includes a pic of her and Lincoln in a heart-shaped frame made by Frida.
  • Shout-Out Theme Naming: Much like with the Louds' pets, the Casagrande pets are named after famous cartoonists.note
  • Shower of Awkward: Ronnie Anne walks in on Sergio when looking for a quiet place to sleep, who shouts "I'm naked!"
  • Time to Move: Initially, Maria's kids believe that they're going to be staying with their extended family through their mom's side for two days, but Maria eventually reveals to Bobby and Ronnie Anne that she got a job at the city hospital and that she wants to move to the city permanently—hearing this, the Casagrandes say that Maria and her kids should move in with them so they wouldn't have to buy a new house. Ronnie Anne's initially against this (even enlisting help from Lincoln and Lori to sabotage the move), but when seeing how grateful the family is to the point of converting Rosa's closet into a bedroom for Ronnie Anne like Lincoln's, she decides to stay.
  • Unexplained Recovery: Lincoln and Lori are attacked by the swarm of alley cats on their way up to the Casagrandes' apartment. When Ronnie Anne introduces them to the family, they're back in one piece, with no scratches on them.
  • Wham Episode: Bobby and Ronnie Anne have moved in with their extended family the next state over.
  • Your Makeup Is Running: This happens to Lori twice. It also happens to Frida once.

The Casagrande Family

The Casagrande family is established as follows: Hector is a cheapskate who gossips about his customers, Rosa is an excellent cook, Sergio is a naughty parrot, Lalo is a big, friendly dog, Carlota is a fashionista, Carl is an annoying younger sibling, Frida is very emotional, CJ is a kid with Down syndrome, Carlos is a nerdy, absent-minded professor, and Carlitos likes to mimic his family members.

How well does it match the trope?
