Lea tries to convince Shaun that moving in together is not a good idea.
- Brutal Honesty: Lea asks Shaun if he ever thought of them as a couple, and Shaun says "yes". Lea is even more sincere than he is and says she doesn't want that to happen. And then the situation gets even worse when Shaun asks if Lea doesn't want him to think of them as a couple or them becoming a couple. Lea's response: "neither".
- I Don't Want to Ruin Our Friendship: Lea doesn't want to live with Shaun because she is terrified of the possibility of the two falling in love and destroying their friendship.
- Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: Claire suggests deep brain stimulation surgery to save a patient with a severe eating disorder. Melendez refuses, as her research shows a small sample size with only 50% success and the study was conducted overseas. Claire still decides to present the option to the patient and her family, which they agree to. Although the surgery is a success in the end, Melendez kicks Claire off his team for insubordination.
- That Came Out Wrong: When Shaun tries to convince Lea to be his roommate, the first thing he says is that it's okay to him see her naked. Lea is obviously not impressed by this argument (to clarify, that was one of the excuses she gave for them not being roommates in a previous scene).
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Sandwich: Dr. Park sits down to eat lunch when a patient's husband comes to talk to him. Seeking to avoid the conversation, Park says he has to go and leaves his tray full of food on a dishwashing cart.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Lea's reaction when she finds out that Shaun rented the apartment again for them to share together... and worse, he paid twice the price for it.
