Original air date: 11/30/2002

Episode number: 22b

A place from Timmy's dad's childhood is getting torn down for a new mall, and to save it, Timmy tries to find the deed to the land, eventually having to return to the old west days and duel Vicky's ancestor for it.

Tropes:

  • The Bad Guy Wins: Despite Timmy's best efforts to save his father's childhood town, Doug Dimmadome ultimately manages to get it bulldozed by bribing Mr. Turner with merely eight dollars.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Both Vicky the Kid and Doug Dimmadome are the antagonists in this episode.
  • Big "NO!": Timmy’s dad does this when he, his son Timmy and the other Squirrely Scouts see bulldozers outside of his childhood town.
  • Every Man Has His Price: Even after Timmy gets the deed for his dad, so his childhood town is preserved, Doug Dimmadome easily buys it off him for $8. Downplayed as, despite selling it for cheap, he remembered how terrible his childhood actually was after being mauled by coyotes and locked in jail while Timmy was away.
  • Identical Grandson: Vicky the Kid looks exactly like the Vicky of today.
  • Irony: After defeating Vicky the Kid in the past, Timmy hides the deed in the one place no one at that time would think of finding it: an old computer manual that no one bothered to read. He remembered how everyone says there that "no one reads the manuals".
  • Prochronic Product: Timmy travels back to the Old West and meets AJ's ancestor, who has built a computer. The invention never catches on because nobody can be bothered to read the operating manual.
  • Running Gag: "Nobody reads the manual." Remembering most people around him saying this, Timmy managed to exploit this in the end by hiding the old town deed in a book in the past. Since people were more ignorant back then, the deed would be left alone and preserved in the present.
  • Simple Solution Won't Work: Timmy tries to wish for the town's deed, only for Wanda to explain that they need to know where it is to find, and "We're fairies, not pyschics".
  • Stable Time Loop: The Masked Stranger turned out to be an alter ego created by Timmy when he went back in time.
