Original air date: 7/12/2002 (produced in 2001)

Episode number: 14b

Timmy wishes to turn Vicky into a five-year-old so he can give her a taste of her own medicine. But he goes much too far in his revenge, to the point where, since Vicky's so miserable, she gets to have Cosmo and Wanda as godparents.

This episode provides examples of:

  • An Aesop: Two wrongs don't make a right.
  • Advice Backfire: When Timmy starts to regret mistreating Vicky and is about to apologize, Wanda tells him to "remember all the good times" they've had. The problem is that Timmy hasn't had any good times with Vicky, and remembering all the times she tormented him in the past just angers him into ramping up the torment.
  • Alternate Personality Punishment: As a five-year-old, Vicky has no memories of harming Timmy, which makes it a pointlessly cruel way to get revenge. And it's because of that Cosmo and Wanda become her godparents against their will.
  • Because I Said So: When Timmy points out that his parents signed a contract with him that he didn't need a babysitter on Saturdays, they simply use it as a fishwrap.
  • Call-Back: When Timmy decides to apologize to Vicky for bullying her, Wanda tells Timmy to remember all the good times he and Vicky had together. This turns out to be a big mistake, as Timmy ends up remembering bad memories from previous episodes ("Dog's Day Afternoon", "The Big Problem!", and "Dream Goat" in particular), which get him to change his mind.
  • Chekhov's Gag: After Vicky is turned into a five-year-old, Timmy blackmails her with an audio recording of her confessing she stole from her mom's purse, having learned that tactic from her when she tried it on him as her normal self. When Cosmo and Wanda get reassigned to Vicky, the reassignment agent informs them that they are stuck with her unless she says "I'm happy and I don't need my godparents anymore." In the episode's climax, Timmy tricks Vicky into saying "I'm happy and I don't need my godparents anymore.", getting the attention of the agent. Cosmo and Wanda rat Vicky out to the agent, and when Vicky dares them to prove it, Timmy reveals that he recorded Vicky saying "I'm happy and I don't need my godparents anymore." with his tape recorder, getting Cosmo and Wanda out of Vicky's clutches and reassigned to him.
  • Dark Reprise: When Cosmo and Wanda are forced to be reassigned to Vicky, they deliver their famous "And we're your fairy godparents" in a dull, unamused and stilted manner.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Timmy wishes that Vicky was five years old so that he'd give her a taste of her own medicine. However, what he didn't anticipate was that he'd end up losing his godparents to Vicky due to a reassignment fairy showing up after being alerted to the girl's misery.
  • Dragged into Drag: After forcing Timmy to do her chores, Vicky dresses him in a dress and curlers, which he also detests.
Timmy: I'm not doing chores in a dress!
(Vicky pulls out two tape recorders)
Tape Recorder #1: Hi, I'm Timmy Turner, and I'm...
Tape Recorder #2: ...in a dress!
  • Fabricated Blackmail: Vicky at one point blackmails Timmy into doing a bunch of chores by using a clearly fake recording if him cheating on a math test. Later, Timmy gives the younger Vicky a taste of her own medicine via a fake recording of her claiming to have stolen from her mom's purse.
  • Fountain of Youth: Timmy's wish turns Vicky into a five-year-old.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Timmy wishing to be Vicky's babysitter goes so well it makes her even more miserable than he is, thus Cosmo and Wanda are reassigned to her.
  • He Who Fights Monsters: Before long, Timmy ends up acting just as bad as Vicky did, to the point where Cosmo and Wanda get reassigned to her!
  • Homework Slave: One of the chores Vicky makes Timmy do while she relaxes in a chair is her homework. She also threatens to blackmail Timmy with an audio recording of him confessing he cheated on his math test if he refuses.
  • Ironic Echo: "Welcome to the corner of pay and back!"
  • Quote Mine:
    • Vicky tells Timmy if he does not do the chores she gave him, she will blackmail his parents with a recording in his voice: "Hi, I'm Timmy Turner, and I..." followed by a gruff voice saying "...cheated on my math test." When Timmy detests, Vicky replays the tape, then another recording of the second half in his own voice. She does it again after putting him in a dress and curlers which he also detests, only this time the quotes read "Hi, I'm Timmy Turner, and I'm..." and "...in a dress."
    • Later on when Vicky is on the receiving end of Timmy, he blackmails her with the same fake recordings but with Vicky's voice for a change: "Hi, I'm Vicky, and I... stole from my mom's purse." She detests, and he proceeds to play the exact as above.
  • Series Continuity Error: In this episode, when Timmy loses Cosmo and Wanda, he still remembers having them and they don't have to hide their presence as Vicky's fairy godparents. In the rest of the series, anyone who loses their fairy godparents has their memories of magic wiped.
  • Swapped Roles: Timmy gets a chance to babysit Vicky for a change.
  • A Taste of Their Own Medicine: Timmy, sick of constantly being tormented by Vicky, wishes to be her babysitter so he can make her miserable for a change. It backfires when he makes her so miserable that Cosmo and Wanda get reassigned to her.
  • Take Our Word for It: Timmy stated he planned to change Vicky back to normal after the carnival, but the episode ends with her still as a five year old.
  • Vengeance Feels Empty: After humiliating Vicky to the point of tears, Timmy is surprised to find he doesn't find it funny or get any satisfaction from it; considering Vicky is a five-year-old who has none of the malice or memories of her usual self, Wanda's subsequent What the Hell, Hero? is perfectly justified.
Timmy: I thought this would be hilarious! Why isn't it hilarious?! I just got my ultimate revenge on Vicky! Evil Vicky! Icky with a V!
Wanda: No, all you did was use our magic to torment a five-year-old girl till she cried!
