Season 2, Episode 12:
The Monster and the Rocket
Tropes:
- Adaptational Expansion:
- Errinwright gets significantly more characterization here than he got in the books; this episode goes into his perspective and his personal life with his family.
- The subplot of Naomi trying to save the Belters on Ganymede with the Somnambulist was invented wholly for the show.
- Dies Wide Open: Korshunov dies like this from the poison put in his drink by Errinwright.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Granted the man was Mao's cousin, but it still doesn't change the fact that Jules-Pierre Mao was rather appalled that Avasarala would go so far as to arrest an innocent Buddhist monk to use as a bargaining chip.
- Funny Background Event: Bobbie munching on cucumber sandwiches in Mao's yacht, and the faces she makes when Avasarala starts confronting Jules-Pierre Mao.
- Snark-to-Snark Combat: Between Bobbie and Cotyar.
- The Dog Bites Back: An ungrateful and disdainful Jules-Pierre Mao treated Errinwright like a disposable pawn, in spite of the sacrifices Sadavir made for The Conspiracy. Sadavir ultimately turns the tables on him in a spectacular way.
