Aboard a Ganymede refugee ship, Praxidike Meng and others are headed for safety as he privately mourns the loss of his daughter, who is presumed to have died when the mirrors fell down. He witnesses the passengers going to the inner planets (including a colleague of his who looked after him and saved his life when he was unconscious) being spaced by the ship's Belter crew who tricked them into the airlock by telling them they were being transferred to a different ship. On Tycho, Fred Johnson receives a message from Dawes, who tells him that he's giving back the weapon (Cortazar's protomolecule information) to the Belt. This earns support amongst the Belters on Tycho, who storm the hangar and take Fred and Drummer hostage, wanting to launch the missiles back to Earth in order to provoke a fight from Earth, but are unsuccessful when the crew of the Rocinante intervenes. They discover that a protomolecule signal came from Ganymede at the time of the battle and discover that a doctor, who used to work for Protogen, was also on Ganymede. Prax reveals his daughter was a patient of his, and footage shows the doctor and Prax's daughter leaving an hour before the battle. Boarding the Rocinante, Prax and the others set off for Ganymede, with renewed hope that his daughter is still alive.

- Attack the Injury: Not only does the leader of the rogue OPA on Tycho shoot Drummer to try to show he's serious, but later he tries to force Fred's hand by digging into Drummer's Agonizing Stomach Wound.
- Boom, Headshot!: After the renegade OPA coup attempt fails, Alex is leading Drummer off to see a doctor. She grabs his gun and shoots several of the mutineers in the forehead, then staggers out on her own.
- Heroic BSoD: Prax spends most of the episode barely able to do more than stand upright, first from being front and center to Ganymede, then when the refugee ship spaces one of his friends.
- Moment Killer: Alex interrupts an intimate moment between Holden and Naomi.
- Red Herring: It initially looks to Holden and Naomi that Prax had a sample of the protomolecule with him from Ganymede. Instead, it's just a soybean plant.
- Shout-Out: On the refugee ship, the Inners are placed in an airlock under false pretenses and then killed, similar to The Great Escape when the prisoners are taken to a field to "stretch their legs."
- Thrown Out the Airlock: The refugee ship that Prax is on does this to everyone who's going to one of the inner planets.
