Go To

Original Air Date (UK): March 21, 1995

Urpgor invents a superweapon that can shoot webs. This machine manages to get past the Wutts and Noops and steals the Dreamstone. What a struggle it must have been to stop Zordrak from going to the Planet of Doom.

Tropes featured in the episode:

  • All Webbed Up: The Spidermobile's method of attack, first to almost the entire Land Of Dreams, and then to the Noops and Pildit when they try to retrieve the stone.
  • Curbstomp Battle: Administered by the Urpneys this time round, using the Spidermobile to easily dispose of the entire Wut army and most of the civilians of the Land of Dreams.
  • Invincible Villain: No known weakness is found on the Spidermobile (aside from a brief random engine breakdown mid way), leaving it one of the few inventions that is not neutralized or destroyed, or even remotely penetrated by the end of the episode.
  • Karma Houdini: Frizz and Nug, in a very rare event, avoid any comeuppance this episode.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: Zordrak on the other hand gets the main brunt of their failure for once.
  • Near-Villain Victory: The Urpneys actually proved unstoppable, and Zordrak was actually part way taking the stone to the Red Planet Of Doom, leaving the heroes seemingly too late to stop him, if only Urpgor hadn't came back at just the wrong moment...
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Rufus forgets to hide the Dreamstone, leaving it out open for Frizz to steal.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Urpgor arrives back just as Zordrak leaves with the stone (the latter having sent him to find Blob after growing impatient), colliding into him and leading him to drop the stone right in the heroes' hands.
  • Not So Invincible After All: After suffering nearly four seasons of Curbstomp Battles, the Urpneys deliver a complete trouncing to the entire Wut army with their Spidermobile.
  • Not-So-Harmless Villain: Not only does Urpgor invent a device impenetrable by even the Wuts' magic, Blob and his men handle it with competent precision. After being stopped a second time round, the heroes are reliant on well timed luck to stop Zordrak in the end.
  • Ordered Apology: Blob tries to force Frizz and Nug to apologize to each other over their fisticuffs. It doesn't work.
  • Spider Tank: The Spidermobile is a literal case.
  • A Taste of Defeat: The one time the villains manage to repel the forces of the Wut army.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Blob's troops for once get through the episode pretty clean.
  • Who's Laughing Now?: The Urpneys spend most of the episode getting back at nearly everyone who abused them throughout the series, trouncing the heroes twice over and watching Urpgor and Zordrak take a Humiliation Conga in their place.
  • The Worf Effect: Pildit makes sure to state the army's globes are on full power before the Spidermobile No Sells their barrage and takes them out with ease. In fairness, lasting until the penultimate episode without falling to this trope is pretty impressive for a supporting character in a nineties cartoon.
