- Love Across Battlelines: Gran and Hwam were originally enemies from waring tribes before falling in love. While Gran thought he abandoned her, he was actually frozen in an avalanche.
- Oblivious to His Own Description: Guy describes Hwam (while he's still frozen) as an "aimless drifter who wandered in the wild for years, and now he's gonna impose himself, uninvited on a well-intentioned group of strangers" before mocking him for going shirtless, a description that matches Guy to a tee. Eep even asks if he's jealous.
