- Colorblind Casting: Harper Elementary School has a Black History Month play, and Mrs. Lowenstein casts a lot of white kids to play the roles of black people like Muhammad Ali and Barack Obama.
- Distinction Without a Difference: Rallo claims he's not a thief to Kendra, as he was only in her house to steal her husband's flag.
- Everything Is Racist: After hearing about the historical oppression of black people, Rallo flips his lid and starts seeing everyone and everything around him as something completely racist.
- Prisoner's Last Meal: When Kendra's "peepaw" was on death row, his last meal was 77 mozzarella sticks. Consequently, he died from a massive coronary before they could get him to the electric chair. Rallo mentions that, if he were on death row, he would choose popcorn shrimp as his last meal, before it dawns on him that popcorn shrimp is becoming so hard to find that he'd kill somebody to get it, meaning he'd have to end up on death row in order to get that meal, anyway.
- Stereotype Flip: Cleveland is shocked when he's charged with a hate crime after he assaults Lester, treating it like the situation is all backward.
