Go To

An Udder Mess: Ronnie Anne wins two tickets to Dairyland - but has to choose between her besties Sid and Lincoln for the day!

Teacher's Fret: When Ronnie Anne finds out her dad is dating her teacher, she teams with Sid to break them up ASAP.

"An Udder Mess" contains examples of:

  • Cosmic Plaything: Following Abuela's advice, Ronnie Anne waits for the Universe to decide whether to take Lincoln or Sid to Dairyland. Much to her frustration, she starts seeing both Lincoln and Sid's faces everywhere, in equal measure.
Ronnie Anne: Universe, I hear you loud and clear. I have to take both Lincoln and Sid to Dairyland!
  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: At the end of the episode, when Ronnie Anne confesses to Sid and Lincoln that she only had two tickets and didn't want to have to choose between her two best friends, Lincoln reveals that Rusty also won two tickets, and had Ronnie Anne told him earlier, he would have gone with Rusty so she could go with Sid.
  • Group Hug: Ronnie Anne, Lincoln, and Sid share one when Ronnie Anne confesses to have lied to the other two and they forgive her. It's even the page image on this show's Heartwarming page.
  • Human Cannonball: Ronnie Anne and Carl, disguised as Tippy the Cow, are dragged into this spectacle. This is where Lincoln and Sid find out about her disguise.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: Lori blubbers hysterically when her and Bobby's attempt at figuring out what their future baby will look like goes horribly wrong. There's even a snot bubble involved.
  • Just One Extra Ticket: This episode's plot involves Ronnie Anne winning two free tickets to Dairyland, and having to choose whether Sid or Lincoln will get the second ticket. She ends up giving away both her tickets and tries to sneak into Dairyland using the Tippy the Cow costume, but ends up getting caught. After explaining to Sid and Lincoln that she didn't want to have to choose between them, Sid tells her she wouldn't have minded giving the ticket to Lincoln, and Lincoln reveals that Rusty also won two tickets, and had he known, he would have come with Rusty.
  • Metaphorically True: When Vito gives his other ticket to Bruno, Ronnie Anne turns to Carl, who says he has a ticket into Dairyland. And by "ticket," he means Bobby's old Tippy the Cow costume.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: The "security guard" turns out to have a similar story to Ronnie Anne: he couldn't choose between two friends so he disguised himself as an employee to get in.
  • Pun-Based Title: The title is based on the expression "an utter mess," and the "udder" in the title refers to Dairyland.
  • Something We Forgot: After the plot is resolved, and the kids have their fun, Ronnie Anne realizes she left Carl behind with the Tippy costume. Carl, who only kept the back side of the costume, is advertised in the Human Cannonball spectacle as "the world's only flying butt".
  • Spit Take: Lincoln does this with chocolate milk when Ronnie Anne wins two free tickets to Dairyland. For some reason, the chocolate milk goes through Bobby's laptop screen and onto his face!
  • Tempting Fate: When Par delivers the last shipment of chocolate milk (which includes the last winning bottle), Ronnie Anne tries to buy the whole package, only for Becky, Vito, a Bobby look-alike, and quite a few other Competition Freaks to barge into the mercado to tear it open. And then Vito wins the tickets.
  • Totem Pole Trench: Invoked by Carl, who makes Ronnie Anne get into an old Tippy the Cow costume to get into Dairyland. They end up dragged into various Dairyland attractions by someone in the guise of a security guard.

"Teacher's Fret" contains examples of:

  • 555: The following phone numbers are revealed: 555-0114 (Arturo Santiago), 555-0192 (Gina Galiano), 555-0167 (Vito Filiponio), and 555-0100 (Bruno).
  • Fan Disservice: Sid's reaction to seeing Arturo shaking his butt while playing video games.
  • Gag Haircut: Invoked by Ronnie Anne; one of her attempts to break up her father and her teacher involves telling her to shave her hair into a mohawk.
  • Given Name Reveal: This episode reveals Ms. Galiano's first name: Gina.
  • Here We Go Again!: Subverted; see Not What It Looks Like below.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: Following his breakup with Ms. Galiano, Arturo enters the room sobbing uncontrollably, which causes Ronnie Anne and Sid to assume that they hurt his feelings. However, Arturo soon reveals that the breakup was mutual, and that he was actually in tears over his soccer team's defeat. On a side note, now we know where Bobby got his propensity for Inelegant Blubbering from.
  • Kids Play Match Breaker: Ronnie Anne soon learns that her father, Arturo, has started dating her teacher, Ms. Galiano, much to Ronnie Anne's annoyance and embarrassment. She and Sid try to sabotage the couple. They give Gina tainted perfume and bad hair advice, try to frame Arturo for cheating, and even switch the numbers in their phones to create miscommunication. When the couple actually does break up, however, we see that they are in tears, and a guilt-ridden Ronnie Anne confesses her tricks. Turns out, the breakup was mutual and had nothing to do with the tricks, just the decision that they were Better as Friends, and they were crying over different things entirely.
  • Like Father, Like Son: This episode implies that Bobby really takes after his father. Throughout the episode, Arturo does everything from gushing over a squirrel to having a mushy relationship with Ms. Galiano (to Ronnie Anne's annoyance) to sobbing uncontrollably over his soccer team losing.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: Invoked by Ronnie Anne and Sid, who squirt honey on Arturo's hand so it sticks to Mrs. Kernicky's.
  • Noodle Incident: As Bobby informs Ronnie Anne of their father's breakup, he gets his hand stuck in a vending machine. According to Ronnie Anne, this has happened a lot.
  • Not What It Looks Like: Ronnie Anne and her friends see her mother with Mr. Suarez and, assuming that they're dating, Ronnie Anne sends Sergio and the pigeons to chase Mr. Suarez away. Except that Mr. Suarez was only trying to ask Maria for a bunion cure.
  • Ocular Gushers: Both Arturo and Ms. Galiano cry in this manner following their breakup, but for different reasons entirely. Arturo especially manages to combine this trope with Inelegant Blubbering.
  • Smelly Skunk: Ronnie Anne and Sid try to give perfume to Mrs. Galiano from a polecat, but it sprays them when they sing. Sid also explains that its smell is ten times stronger than skunks.
  • Spit Take: Ronnie Anne spits out her ice cream when her father reveals that he is dating Ms. Galiano. Bobby does the same thing with water when Ronnie Anne tells him.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Ronnie Anne is miffed when her father is dating her teacher, but Carl assures her that she won't have to worry about tests or homework ever again. Needless to say, Carl is wrong; Ronnie Anne gets a C on her math test.
  • Your Makeup Is Running: Happens to Ms. Galiano when she discloses the true reason why she's crying Ocular Gushers: the makeup is causing her eyes to water.

Future Babies App

Lori and Bobby try using an app to see what a potential daughter (dubbed Lori Jr.) would look like. She ends up having pineapple leaves growing out of her head, wings, and a dog's nose due to the pets getting in the way and the app reading a pineapple as a person.

How well does it match the trope?
