Forced into Their Sunday Best: When the kids have to get the picture retaken (after learning the photographer had lost the negative of the original).
Forgotten Anniversary: Mike pretends to have forgotten their anniversary with Carol until the day of the event ... until breakfast the morning of, when their kiss is interrupted by six kids (and Alice) eager to show their presents.
Blind Without 'Em: Jan, who chooses not to wear her glasses while riding her bicycle to the library, crashes her bicycle into the back of the garage ... and into the framed photograph of the kids, ruining it.
Irony: While Jan causes the damage to the photo by not wearing her glasses, it was her wearing her glasses later that prevented her completely covering up the mishap (although Mike may still have found out given that Jan sold her bike to pay for the retake).
Unwanted Glasses Plot: Essentially, how Mike and Carol try to convince Jan that her glasses aren't that bad, and to tell Bobby and Cindy to cool it with the glasses jokes.
Stoic Spectacles: Jan's glasses fit (and look) pretty well on her face.
