A Time to Rest, Think, and Kidnap New Friends

Igor tells a new Velvet Room guest to consider becoming a Wild Card before bidding them farewell for the time being.

Sho awakens to find himself in a room without windows and doors. Oracle's voice suddenly resonates in his head, and the Phantom Thief reveals herself on the TV in the room to greet him. Sho demands Oracle to let him out, but she refuses, stating she and her group will only release him once they are sure he won't harm anyone. Oracle proceeds to create a door to another room so Sho can take care of his basic needs before ending communication with him. After getting no responses to his questions, Sho reluctantly goes inside the new room to take a hot shower.

Ren comments on the versatile use of the Vanes of Order, with Futaba providing extra information on their reality-warping capabilities for him. Ren teases Futaba a bit before asking if Sho can use the TV in his room to escape, to which the younger Thief reveals she's prepared a surprise for the rogue Persona-user.

Ann rouses from sleep to start getting ready for the morning, briefly reminiscing her modeling days while looking at an old magazine. Her thoughts drift to Ryuji, finding herself in denial of her feelings toward him. She then thinks back to the previous night, when she admonished Ryuji for taking too many hits from the Shadows, and he responded by saying he'd rather tank the attacks so she wouldn't get hurt. Ann eventually admits to herself that she's been crushing on Ryuji for a while now.

A new student enters Kenzo's classroom, introducing himself as Shen Kurata-Yang, a half-Chinese who originally lived half his life in Australia. Shen soon finds himself becoming the center of attention, with many girls immediately attracted to him. Kenzo helps him escape the fangirl mob by running to the courtyard, where the boys get acquainted and briefly communicate in English before exchanging their life stories.

Later, Shen recounts his move from Australia to Japan and his encounter with Kenzo. As soon as the school day ends, Shen gets swarmed by girls again. While the girls are talking with him, Shen learns about Kenzo being a Persona-user. Shen eventually announces he has to get to Suginami, with the girls offering to accompany him.

Kenzo arrives at Kojima Blacksmithing, the place Iwai recommended for him. He gets greeted by the shop owner, who asks if there's anything he wants. Kenzo tells him he wants to check the shop out and look for claws as a weapon. The shop owner blows him off, but Kenzo demands to let the former teach him to make weapons and other things himself. After getting rejected a second time, Kenzo then notices a Shadow lurking outside the shop and leaves. He easily defeats it with Deinonychus, retrieves the dropped metals that used to be the Shadow's weapons, and reenters the shop with them. The shop owner attempts to shoo Kenzo away a third time when the Wild Card interrupts with a proposal: the shop owner can forge weapons and teach him blacksmithing while he offers to help him out with anything. After considering Kenzo's words, the shop owner tells him to return by the end of the week for his answer. The two introduce themselves to each other before Kenzo leaves the shop.

Growing bored in the room he's stuck in for hours, Sho throws a remote at the TV, to which the object passes through the screen. The rogue Persona-user then remembers he can use the TV to escape and instantly jumps through it, finding himself in another room.
