The Judge (No. 57) provides examples of:


  • Asshole Victim: The Judge pronounces judgement on the people responsible for miscarriages of justice. Cooper is targeted because the judge believed he beat a false confession from a Alan Ray Rifkin, who was suspected of having massacred a village while involved with the Taliban.
  • A Storm Is Coming: At the end of the episode, Reddington tells Cooper that "there's a war coming" that he'll need the FBI's help in fighting.
  • Miscarriage of Justice: The Judge targets corrupt cops and prosecutors whom have wrongly convicted innocent people.
  • Samus Is a Girl: The Judge is Ruth Kipling, a woman.
  • Western Terrorists: Of a sort. Alan Ray Rifkin was revealed to have been a part of the Taliban.
  • Wham Episode: In the final scene, Tom is revealed to have married Liz under orders.
