Tropes

  • Black Comedy: For Bernadette's wedding, Amy suggests they use the dresses for her cousin's wedding, which went unused because she and her bridesmaids died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Skewed Priorities: When Amy suggests her dead cousin's dresses.
    Bernadette: I don't know. Dead people's dresses?
Penny: Yeah, and cap sleeves? Ugh!
  • Stating the Simple Solution:
Sheldon: I can't seem to get in touch with Amy! I tried e-mail, video chat, tweeting her, posting on her Facebook wall, texting her... Nothing!
Leonard: D'you try calling her on the telephone?
Sheldon: The telephone! Y'know, Leonard, in your simple way, you may be the wisest of us all.
  • Vomit Discretion Shot: Amy compares herself to the tumor in the brain she's dissecting. When Bernadette tells Penny to give her some words of encouragement, Penny is at the garbage can puking.
