- Karma Houdini Warranty: After dodging punishment (in one form or another) for seasons, Dr. Strange finally meet justice in the form of being rendered catatonic by all the knowledge of the universe by the Joining.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: By rendering Dr. Strange catatonic by all the knowledge of the universe, the Joining gave the Martian Manhunter a way to learn how to save the day.
- Tempting Fate: After losing his power, the Flash says he's still faster than Hawkman, only to be proven wrong as Hawkman outruns him.
- Underestimating Badassery: Strange reminds the Joining that he tried to warn them about Batman's capabilities and was ignored.
- Villain Respect: Strange freely admits that he considers Batman to be the biggest threat, more so than Superman and the others.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Except for Superman and Green Arrow, the other Leaguers are displeased to learn that Batman has developed specific weapons to counter their powers.
