Daggett fears winter and wants to "migrate" to a sunny beach for sun and fun. Norb is hesitant, but eventually the two set off for a lopsided beach experience, where Daggett gets totally sidelined while everyone pays attention to Norbert.

- Beach Episode: Duh, the episode title has the word "beach" in it!
- Butt-Monkey: Daggett gets completely humiliated for no reason throughout the second half of the episode, getting ignored when injured and having to watch Norbert enjoy the attention of the other beachgoers. This goes on for quite a while and does not lead to any major plot point.
- Get a Hold of Yourself, Man!: Norb tells Dag this as he begs on his knees for them to go south.
- Never Say "Die": Averted! Which is odd, since around this time Nickelodeon had that rule that the words "dead" or "die" couldn't be used. Dag repeatedly tells that killer crab, "Die, you stupid thing! Die!"
