Gumball and Darwin both wish they were adults — and get their wish when they become hairy, muscular men.

- Accidental Pervert: The bathroom Darwin and Gumball ran into when they were covered in hair turns out to be the girl's one. Luckily, the only other one there was Penny (whose legs could be seen in the background), who gently points this out to them without causing a fuss.
- Appliance Defenestration: Richard hears a bunch of junk e-mails calling him bald and fat, so he throws his laptop out the window and onto a pile of other discarded laptops.Nicole: So that's where all the laptops went.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Darwin and Gumball both wish to become adults, and enjoy it briefly when they do, but conclude that Growing Up Sucks rather quickly.
- Brick Joke: Darwin passes a drawing of himself as an adult, voting, which he later uses as a resumé.
- Cover Innocent Eyes and Ears: The early version of Felicity covers her child's eyes in the last scene as Nicole and Richard play with their "hairy mutant" children.
- Crystal-Ball Scheduling: Darwin and Gumball are turned into adults just as their class is learning about puberty.
- Delayed Reaction: Gumball rips the hair off Darwin's lip with a piece of gum and he only screams in pain a few seconds later, just as he was saying it felt better.
- Dodgeball Is Hell: During a dodgeball game, Tina's team ignore any rules, objectives, other players, and Gumball's plea of "Not above the shoulders!" to pelt him and Darwin with over a dozen dodgeballs and also throw a bowling ball at them (which misses). Seconds later the hormones suddenly kick in and make Gumball giant in time to catch a ball, then he throws it at Tina so hard she flies through the gym wall.
- Does Not Know His Own Strength: A giant, hairy Anais accidentally crushes her mother's hand and all of the kids gives their parents a bone-crushing Bear Hug.
- Furry Reminder: Tina tries to make an intimidating fist-punch gesture, but her T-rex arms are too short to reach each other.
- Gosh Dang It to Heck!: Darwin reacts to Gumball saying "what a pile of beans" as if it was genuine profanity.
- Gross-Up Close-Up: When Darwin gets his first pimple, Gumball stares at it and we get a P.O.V. Shot of him from inside of the pimple.
- Inopportune Voice Cracking: A muscled-up Gumball and Darwin's voices suddenly plummet while screaming at their normal high pitches.
- Manly Facial Hair: Gumball and Darwin take a muscle-building supplement out of a desire to become men, and turn into heavily ripped and mustachioed strongmen.
- Painful Body Waxing: When Darwin's first facial hairs appear, Gumball uses chewing gum to get rid of them. Darwin claims that he feels much better, followed by a scream a few seconds later.
- Passing Notes in Class: Played with when Gumball and Darwin are passing a drawing of themselves as adults and Miss Simian catches them. Since she's talking about puberty, she's decide they're actually on-topic and continues her lecture.
- Rage Quit: Darwin and Gumball annoy the Cupcake lady so much in a job interview that she quits her job on the spot and gives it to them.
- Reactive Continuous Scream: When Gumball and Darwin see that they've become men, they scream throughout the rest of the scene.
- Temporary Bulk Change: Gumball, Darwin and Anais become hairy and muscular after eating a muscle-building supplement bought by Richard instead of their morning cereal.
- Testosterone Poisoning: Gumball and Darwin (and Anais) end up becoming ridiculously hairy and muscular men. They even have a song about it!We're gonna pay more for the movies,
