Carrie (a ghost girl) starts borrowing Gumball's body so she's able to eat, but her wild food binges leave Gumball overweight and he can't bring himself to turn her down.

Tropes:

  • Brick Joke: Nicole demonstrates how to say no by putting a sausage on Richard's nose that he's not allowed to eat, and the scene ends with Richard still salivating. Gumball comes back to his house with Carrie after school the next day and Richard is still standing there with a sausage on his nose.
  • Carnivore Confusion: A Carrie-possessed Gumball takes a bite out of Donut Cop, tearing one of his arms off. She also interrupts Anton's sandwich-eating.
  • A Day in the Limelight: For Carrie.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Carrie says, "I wish I still had a body", implying she used to be alive. Though in the episode "Halloween", she reveals that she was born a ghost.
  • Exorcist Head: Gumball rotates his head 360 degree while possessed, hanging on the ceiling, drooling over Anton's sandwich.
  • Gluttony Montage: Done in first-person in when Carrie possesses Gumball in an homage to the Binge Montage music video for The Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up."
  • Got Volunteered: Gumball never suggested Carrie use his body and didn't even agreed to it the first time—Darwin said he would and she possessed Gumball before he could say otherwise.
  • Grand Theft Me: Carrie starts possessing Gumball's body even though he clearly doesn't want to, and at the end tries to even when he outright refuses.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Richard, wearing only his underwear, laughs at Gumball for gaining weight and having a jiggling "muffin top", until he notices his own jiggling gut and man breasts, then runs off crying, saying it’s only funny if it’s someone else’s body.
  • I Have to Go Iron My Dog: Gumball asks Richard how to turn down someone asking a favor, so he gives a lesson about weaseling. He demonstrates by saying he needs to take a meatloaf out of the oven and running out the door. Gumball tries the same thing on Carrie, but her questions tear his excuses apart so fast that he gives up in seconds.
  • Kicking My Own Butt: As Carrie is possessing Gumball against his will, he tries to stop her from eating and then both beat up Gumball's body, either in turns or possessing different parts at once. They even dual each other with sporks.
  • Mirror Monster: When Gumball is possessed, Carrie can be seen in place of him in reflection.
  • Pun: Darwin claims he can't beat Carrie out of Gumball because he's a "Pacifish".
  • Smash Cut: When Gumball agrees to let Carrie possess him a second time, he's in the middle of insisting it's just to eat one sandwich when we cut to another binge.
  • Taking Advantage of Generosity: Carrie keeps using Gumball's body to eat, even though it's making him sick and he clearly doesn't want to, because he won't say no. Even after he does, she tries to possess him anyway.
  • Temporary Bulk Change: Every time Carrie possesses Gumball she forces him to overeat, and he wakes up the next morning fat. He keeps getting fatter after each time, but is back to normal by the next scene when he’s at school.
  • Weight Taller: After Carrie's first two binges, Gumball gets much fatter and wider, but not taller. After her third binge, he turns into a mountain of fat three times his regular height while sitting down (which he's always doing because his legs can't reach past the sag to the ground). One scene later he's shrunken considerably, but is still taller than normal.
  • What Have I Become?: Gumball finally gets Carrie to stop possessing him by showing how horrible her eating has turned.
Gumball: You're drinking dumpster water and eating garbage. Look! (holds sandal with a bite out of it)
    Carrie: What's that?
    Gumball: It's a flip-flop, Carrie. A FLIP-FLOP!
  • You Need A Breathmint: Darwin feeds Gumball something disgusting so Carrie won't want to be in his body anymore: fishbowl water with Tobias's sweat, Ms. Simian's dandruff, the underwear Gumball had been wearing for fifteen days, and his "fish gas". His breath makes Leslie wilt, Bobert malfunction, Alan deflate, and Sussie spit up her drink, but Carrie thinks he smells like the undead, making her hungrier.
