While waiting for an interview, Jimmy receives a strange box and is subsequently kidnapped. Can Superman discover the secret of the box and save him?
This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
- Better to Die than Be Killed: The doctor says that "they'll never take me alive". Superman tells him that "if you don't drop that gun, you're going to eat those words."
- Can't Kill You, Still Need You: When one of the crooks asks the other if he should kill Jimmy then, the other responds that they "may have to use him later."
- Disguised in Drag: One of the crooks disguises himself as a woman to get through customs.
- Gratuitous German: The doctor yells something in German that ends with "ubermensch"note
- He Knows Too Much: One of the crooks tells Jimmy that he knows too much, in spite of Olsen's statements that he doesn't understand what's going on.
- High-Voltage Death: The villains of the week sequester Jimmy in a room which can become electrified if they throw a switch. They try it, but Superman is too fast for them.
- Papa Wolf: As the two criminals try to escape, they get caught by a grim-voiced Superman, who demands to know, "What have you done with Jim Olsen?"
- Shooting Superman: One of the villains tries to shoot Superman, which obviously results in a No-Sell.
