After just missing a call from a Strife magazine photographer, Gomez becomes convinced he's been elected Man of the Year and begins looking for the perfect picture. When Cleopatra eats it, Gomez' depression leads the others to try to get a replacement photo taken, ultimately taking them to the driver's bureau to find the one man whose work Gomez approves. The problem? Gomez has never been able to drive.
This episode includes examples of the following tropes:
- Beach Bury: The family relaxes in their backyard, simulating a beach setting. Pugsley and Wednesday bury Grandmama completely in the sand, because she enjoys playing gopher.
- Drives Like Crazy: Gomez apparently destroyed two cars in the Addamses' past and when he returns from his driving test, the car has pieces of bush stuck to it. The instructor, having been knocked into the backseat, says he should be arrested for even thinking of trying to drive.
- "I Can't Look!" Gesture: Uncle Fester closes his eyes during one of Gomez' driving attempts.
- Moonburn: At the beginning, the family is enjoying a relaxing evening outside. Morticia warns Gomez and Uncle Fester about the possibility of getting moonburned.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: On two counts. Morticia hires a detective to find the photographer who took the previous picture, which leads them to the driver's bureau. Only after Gomez' test do they find out the photographer was fired long ago. Furthermore, the man from Strife wanted a picture of the house, not Gomez.
