Recap / The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Ch 121

Go To

The chapter opens with Hakari gushing over the clothing that Meme has knit for the Sylvanian dolls. We then cut to Rentarou, Hakari, Mimimi, and Rin going on a date to a place where they can demo play the Nirvana Family toys.

(Any resemblance to the Sylvanian Families is purely coincidental)

People can pick out parts to make their own Nirvana Family members. Despite initially being apprehensive, the girls enjoys themselves and the family finds a playing field that isn't being used for fighting. The group has their dolls find a table to have tea together.

Hakari's doll "accidentally" spills tea on Rentarou's and tries to remove its pants. Mimimi's doll can't wipe its mouth with a handkerchief, so Rentarou's doll does it for her. Another player accidentally hits Rin's doll with a car. The girl's mother is apologetic and the girl herself offers her life as penance. Rin tries to brush it off, but her enjoyment of the violence inflicted on her doll makes the girl think that she really will kill her.

Suddenly, another player begins using her Nirvana to start blowing the toy buildings up. She mocks the girls' Nirvana toys and tells them to get lost. Rentarou is angered by this and starts to confront her, but the girls, being high-class ladies, point out that such a person has nothing of value to say and that they can simply find a different playing field. Besides, all confronting her would do is waste time while they're on a date. Rentarou agrees, and the group begins to leave.

Then the woman mocks Rentarou.

The girls are now ready to fight back despite Rentarou now being the one who wants to leave. After all, a true lady sticks to her principles and allows none to trample on them. Mimimi's doll moves gracefully and beautifully to dodge the woman's strikes, while Rin's moves in accordance to the rhythm. Hakari, meanwhile utilizes the stick handling she's honed from... practice to strike at the Nirvana doll.

Mimimi claims that that her strength as a lady has given her strength. When the woman insults her, Hakari and Rin both defend her, and when the woman switches her insults to Hakari, they do so again. When the woman thinks that she's managed to lure them into a trap, Rin unleashes her Nirvana toy's final move: chainsaws.

The woman calls Rin a freak, but Hakari and Mimimi insist that the woman simply has bad taste. The woman flees, defeated as Rentarou congratulates them. The other players cheer for them. The girls' Nirvana toys give Rentarou's a kiss as the chapter ends.

Tropes

  • Call-Back: The little girl who accidentally breaks Rin's doll and offers her life as penance is the same girl who accidentally dirtied a handkerchief Mei had gotten for Hahari (and similarly offered to let Mei kill her).
  • Fake Aristocrat: Mimimi is called one by the rowdy woman. Hakari and Rin defend her, saying that her hard work in being beautiful makes her more of a high-class lady than even them.
  • In the Blood: Hakari is unimpressed by the woman's efforts despite having thrown away her femininity, asking if that's the best she can do in a way that reminds Rentarou of Hahari when she first appeared.
  • Real Women Never Wear Dresses: The rowdy woman who starts the fight is a firm believer in this and is proud of having discarded her "girliness".
  • Shout-Out
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Downplayed in that the violence is restricted to the game, but Hakari, Mimimi, and Rin are content to leave the rowdy woman to her own devices until the woman insults Rentarou.
