Hahari and Mei are making their rounds through the school and overhear a student mentioning how his boss at work asked him out despite being a 29-year-old single mother. After school, as Hahari and the rest of the girls watch a menko tournament hosted by Yaku, Rentarou approaches Hahari to invite her on a date. Remembering how she secretly wished to go back to being a high schooler a few volumes ago, he figured this would be a good opportunity to go out "as high schoolers" together. Although initially embarrassed, she's relieved when some passing students mistake her for a third year.
The location of the date is the Teddy Baby Museum, a museum themed around Hahari's favorite childhood show, which her parents' company sponsored. After a tour around the museum, Rentarou proposes trying out a quiz show to try and win an exclusive premium size Teddy Baby. As soon as they start, however, they realize the quiz consists of questions with Unexpectedly Obscure Answers selected at random. Fortunately, Rentarou rented and studied the entire series front to back and manages to answer all of them perfectly, even the last one, which requires very special knowledge to answer.
After claiming their prize, Rentarou and Hahari browse a light show before he affirms that he's perfectly fine with the age gap that exists between them. The date finishes off with a visit to the gift shop, where after a brief slip up on the reality of their personalities, the two engage in a kiss.
