Rentarou's Japanese class is getting a new teacher, and the girls in his class are curious who it will be. As they exchange guesses, the door opens to reveal a Stripperiffic Engrish-speaking cowgirl. Introducing herself as Miss Naddy, the new teacher quickly picks a fight with Karane over whether a teacher from America should be teaching Japanese. Rentarou intervenes to break up the argument, catching a ZING!! with the new teacher, who promptly gives Rentarou an after-school detention.
After classes, Rentarou and Naddy are studying together, with the latter getting rather close to the former. Claiming this to be a normal part of American life, Naddy starts flirting with Rentarou before planting a kiss on him and confessing to Rentarou, who realizes Naddy is actually Japanese. Explaining his deductive reasoning behind his claim causes Naddy to break down and reveal her true identity, Nadeshiko Yamato, a 24-year-old who was relegated to teaching Japanese due to not knowing enough English to teach the language.
Being exposed causes Naddy to think back on her upbringing, where her parents forced her to live a Yamato Nadeshiko lifestyle and administered harsh punishments for not living up to their expectations. On one occasion while locked in a storage shed, she found an American film and watched it, the resulting lifestyle depicted within shattering her mentality and leading her to embrace American lifestyles, which prompted her parents to disown her.
Rentarou senses the bad memories flowing through her head and placates her fears of being viewed as a disgrace by explaining that she's living a lifestyle that makes her happy and that she shouldn't have to find it shameful. Finally at ease, Naddy re-dons her persona as Rentarou accepts her confession.
Tropes:
- Exact Words: Naddy claims that she comes from America, but she was born and raised in Japan her whole life. While she did transfer in from America, she was only there for five minutes the previous day.
- Flipping the Bird: Naddy's hand being hidden by a black square makes it obvious what gesture she's making.
- Instant Taste Addiction: All it took was one movie for Naddy to become a reverse Occidental Otaku.
- Precision F-Strike: The last thing Naddy said to her parents after they disowned her was "Fakkyuu!" While there have been uses of profanity in the manga before, this is the first time in the manga that a character drops an F-bomb.
- Spotting the Thread: Rentarou realizes Naddy is fully Japanese from clues like her weird English and the fact that while she is obsessed with American ideals she is the Japanese teacher. (He figures that if a foreigner was good enough to teach Japanese in Japan, it would be Japan they were obsessed with.) But the thing that confirms his suspicions that she isn't really American is when she confesses to him because the whole Love Confession trope isn't something that really exists outside of Japan, but is so ingrained into Japanese culture that it's done without really thinking about it.
- The Voice: Naddy's parents don't make any physical appearances beyond their dialogue balloons.
