Rentarou's uncle, Hiro Iin, has asked his nephew to look after his daughter while he's out. Rentarou remembers when he saved Hiro from getting hit by a truck as a young boy, and how he visited his house until his daughter was born. But now that daughter now starting junior high, and Rentarou is looking forward to a break from looking after his girlfriends. Rentarou rings the doorbell, confident that he won't have to worry about any Zings today. His cousin answers the door and—ZING!!
Rentarou is stupefied that his cousin is one of his soulmates, but he recomposes himself in time for his cousin to introduce herself as Chiyo Iin. Stepping inside, Rentarou slips on a marble and falls on Chiyo, throwing himself into the wall behind him in response. His clothes become rumpled as a result, triggering Chiyo's obsessive need for organization. After she fixes his clothes, the two of them head back inside.
While Chiyo works on tasks for her duty as class president, a glass of tea spills onto Rentarou's clothes, prompting Chiyo to drag him to the shower. As Chiyo leaves to clean his clothes, Rentarou ponders how she's been looking after him more than he's been looking after her. His thoughts are interrupted by the hot water suddenly stopping. Chiyo can't get into the boiler cupboard, and so she redresses him. He's still cold, and in desperation, she resorts to hugging him for warmth.
As Rentarou comforts her, sensing that she's pushing herself to take on responsibilities in order to maintain a proper image for those around her, Chiyo's glasses suddenly fall off her face, causing her to break down in tears and confess to Rentarou. Uncle Hiro suddenly emerges and reveals that he had masterminded all of the mishaps in order to pair up Chiyo and Rentarou before begging him to accept Chiyo's confession.
Returning Chiyo's glasses to her face, Rentarou refuses to accept since Hiro had coerced her daughter into her confession. Rentarou asks Chiyo if she genuinely loves him and not because her father wants her to be with him. She affirms that she does genuinely love Rentarou, who finally accepts, to Hiro's delight.
