Recap / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012 S 4 E 4 The Outlaw Armaggon

Go To

When Lord Dregg hires a bounty hunter to destroy the turtles, the team flees to an abandoned space station!

  • Bait-and-Switch Boss: You think Armaggon would have been the main focus of this ep. Well he was till he reactivated the factory...
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Professor Honeycutt turning into a robot was due to the Triceratons attempting to kill him after he refused to work for them and when they found out he's able to live on as a robot, they labeled him "The Fugitoid". Compared to the 2003 version where Blanque had some authority over Honeycutt since he provided most of the money for his scientific achievements.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Armaggon has a brief appearance fighting Raphael in this season's opening credits.
  • Enemy Mine: Armaggon briefly teams up with the turtles against the Warbots. He's quick to explain that he's only doing this because he needs them alive to collect the bounty.
  • Eye Beams: The Warbots have them. Casey is also interested in getting some of his own.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Armaggon used the factory to initially kill (and later just capture) the Turtles, until it turned on him.
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: April has to resort to her psychic abilities to bring Fugitoid back when he's being controlled.
  • Outrun the Fireball: Leo at the end of the episode.
  • Pietà Plagiarism: Professor Honeycutt's robot assistant cradling his body after the Triceraton attack.
  • Powered Armor: Armaggon wears a suit of shark-themed power armor.
  • Save the Villain: Leo attempts this with Armaggon, but fails.
  • Shout-Out
  • V8 Engine Noises: The Warbots make them when they use their foot-mounted tank treads.
