- Bait-and-Switch Boss: You think Armaggon would have been the main focus of this ep. Well he was till he reactivated the factory...
- Disproportionate Retribution: Professor Honeycutt turning into a robot was due to the Triceratons attempting to kill him after he refused to work for them and when they found out he's able to live on as a robot, they labeled him "The Fugitoid". Compared to the 2003 version where Blanque had some authority over Honeycutt since he provided most of the money for his scientific achievements.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Armaggon has a brief appearance fighting Raphael in this season's opening credits.
- Enemy Mine: Armaggon briefly teams up with the turtles against the Warbots. He's quick to explain that he's only doing this because he needs them alive to collect the bounty.

- Hoist by His Own Petard: Armaggon used the factory to initially kill (and later just capture) the Turtles, until it turned on him.
- "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: April has to resort to her psychic abilities to bring Fugitoid back when he's being controlled.

- Shout-OutRaphael: We're gonna need a bigger ship.
- V8 Engine Noises: The Warbots make them when they use their foot-mounted tank treads.
