- Faux Horrific: Everyone acts like Bogart is horribly deformed when they see his face, but really it's just dyed a light shade of blue.
- Idiot Ball: Bogart Flywheel was smart enough to know physics, robotics and hydraulics well enough to invent a new series of hydraulic systems and rig his sewer lair with booby traps, but he's too dumb to realize that he wasn't disfigured. He just had paint on his face.
- Suck E. Cheese's: Willie Wombat's Pizza Pan Theater is an obvious Chuck E. Cheese parody, complete with a live show of animatronics.
- Theatre Phantom: Bogart Flywheel, the titular Phantom, worked at Willie Wombat's Pizza Pan Theatre before his old partner threw a concoction at him (revealed at the end to just be paint), deforming him and forcing him to live in the sewer.
