The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles find themselves with a big problem when Irma is zapped by a ray that causes her to grow to giant size. The turtles have to find a way to bring her back to normal before her legendary klutziness destroys the entire city.

- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: It’s right in the title, though Irma ends up becoming a lot taller than 50 feet.
- Birthday Episode: The episode is set during Irma's birthday.
- Contrived Coincidence: Shredder brings the enlarging ray to the surface at the same alleyway as April was. She even gets snagged by the ray as it rises from the ground.
- Giant Woman: Irma is accidentally enlarged to giant size by a device invented by Krang. Her size causes her to get hungry very fast; the Turtles are able to deliver the cure by filling a cement mixer with ice cream and placing the pill inside it.
- Inelegant Blubbering: Poor Irma is stricken with guilt after all the damage she caused on the city as a giant which causes her to start crying, Michelangelo tries to calm her down by telling her "It's no biggie." which gets her so upset, she starts to bawl her eyes out. Then Raphael gets angry at Michelangelo, calling him a "Big mouth." which causes Irma to cry even harder.
- The Klutz: Irma's clumsiness is on full display in this episode. After she is enlarged, she becomes full-on destructiv.
- Mineral MacGuffin: The meteorite Shredder steals is lined with an Exoboron isotope. For Krang, it can be harnessed by the Technodrome for his enlarging ray.
- Never My Fault: Krang is quick to blame Shredder for botching their plan and wasting the enlarging ray's power, only for Shredder to point out that Krang was the one who fired the damn thing.
- Too Dumb to Live: After being turned into a giant, Irma winds up bumping into everything and causing enough property damage for the United States Military to show up and capture her. It never occurs to Irma to just stand still and wait for the turtles. Even worse, she later leaves the safety of the abandoned airport back to the city with the military patrolling the streets because she was peckish.
