Recap / Teen Titans Go S 6 E 37 The Cast

Go To

After Robin breaks his leg and has to stay in his room, he decides to spy on his friends.

  • Brick Joke: Robin's telescope keeps getting knocked to the side, showing Doctor Light working on a giant ray in the ocean, which Robin dismisses in favor of spying on Cyborg. In the episode's climax, Doctor Light uses the ray to summon a giant squid monster, which the Titans fight by summoning the Humongous Mecha from the episode's first scene.
  • Here We Go Again!: The episode's final scene is Robin breaking both legs and both arms after defeating Doctor Light, and using his telescope to watch Silkie disposing of a pile of human bones.
  • Humongous Mecha: The episode starts with the Titans about to pilot one, but Robin breaks his leg trying to enter the cockpit. It's used again in the climax to foil Doctor Light's plans.
  • Mistaken for Murderer: Robin thinks that Cyborg has betrayed them to join the HIVE Five. After sending Beast Boy to investigate, he sees Cyborg approaching Beast Boy with a blunt object before turning the lights off, and then picks up him telling Gizmo that Beast Boy's been "taken care of". Starfire, who he sends in next, is then crossed off of Cyborg's list, and Raven sees Cyborg with a knife before also disappearing. In the end, it turns out that Cyborg was just setting up a surprise party for Jinx and didn't want Robin ruining it, with the "blunt object" being a bat for Beast Boy to hit a pinata with, and the knife to cut the birthday cake.
  • "Rear Window" Homage: Robin spends the whole episode in the position of L.B. Jeffries, spying on others with a telescope while his broken leg recovers.
