The Titans head to outer space in order to stop Darkseid.
- Beard of Evil: When Robin tries to motivate the Titans into a Star Trek adventure where they fight their Evil Doppelgangers from an alternate dimension, the evil Titans note how they're obviously evil because they all have goatees.
- Evil Twin: As part of Robin's attempt to homage Star Trek: The Original Series, the Titans briefly encounter evil versions of themselves with facial hair.
- Head-in-the-Sand Management: Robin's plan is to petition a council of alien races to prevent Darkseid from moving Apokalypse into orbit, but Darkseid's able to persuade them to let him invade just by offering gift baskets.

- Red Shirt: Referenced when Beast Boy is given the only red outfit in Robin's Star Trek homage, as Robin points out how this means Beast Boy's the expendable one, causing him distress.
- Take That!: At one point, Cyborg is wearing a shirt that states "Only the Originals" with a foam finger stating "456" and a hat with a crossed-out "123", reflecting popular fan opinion that Star Wars Episode I-III aren't as good as the originals.

- When Robin's in charge, he intentionally homages Star Trek: The Original Series, having everyone wear star fleet uniforms and dealing with problems like rapidly-spawning creatures resembling Tribbles.
- When Robin's not in charge, the other Titans want a more action-packed space adventure and intentionally homage Star Wars, sticking Robin in a golden suit to resemble C-3PO and having Beast Boy transform into a Wookie-like creature among other references.
- Year Inside, Hour Outside: During Part 1, Robin gets zapped by an alien probe and falls unconscious, living through an entire alternate life as a member of the music-centric culture the probe came from. When the other Titans decide to use it to also learn how to play instruments, it's shown that they only get knocked out for two seconds.
