Recap / Teen Titans Go S 4 E 25 BL 4 Z 3

Go To

The Titans become hackers to stop a gang of computer pirates from dominating the world wide web.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Digital Piracy Is Evil: What the episode is centered on.
  • Hell-Bent for Leather: Robin's hacker outfit, which Starfire points out he's looking "the leathery".
  • Leet Lingo: "BL4Z3" is Robin's hacker name, which is also the Title Drop.
  • Literal-Minded: When Robin informs the Titans about piracy, they think he means pirates. Then Robin corrects him that it's computer piracy, and they think he means robot pirates. Later on, the Titans learn that the computer pirates are actually pirates.
  • Not What It Looks Like: Operating on the logic of the episode, briefly playing with the pirates' wares in literal "pirate" outfits means they're on the wrong end of a hostile visit from the FBI.
  • Pec Flex: Inverted. There are a few closeups of Robin, in his hacker outfit, flexing his butt.
  • Red Pill, Blue Pill: Jelly beans precisely. Robin offers the Titans to choose between the red jelly beans (becoming free thinkers) or the blue jelly beans (staying in prison in their minds). The Titans choose to eat them both, much to his displeasure.
  • Rule of Three: "Or is it a third option I can't think of?"
  • Talk Like a Pirate: Apparently, with their Matrix-esque change for the pirate battle, Cyborg is "knowin' how to talk like a pirate now." His delivery is more badass than it sounds.
