Go To

Original airdate: November 12th, 2015

Jubilant that it's his special day, Beast Boy eagerly awaits his cake, singing, and presents. But when the other Teen Titans don't give a hoot about his birthday, Beast Boy explainable starts morphing between infant and elder- and it's up to the Titans to bring him back, through a not-so-exciting birthday party.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Forgotten Birthday: Beast Boy thinks his friends have forgotten his birthday. They haven't; they just loathe birthday parties and refuse to throw one.
  • Happy Birthday to You!: Robin makes it a priority that the birthday song can never be sung because they can't afford the rights to sing it. The episode was created and aired 2 weeks before it was legally ruled in the public domain.
  • I Was Just Passing Through: Raven calls out the Titans for not wanting to celebrate Beast Boy's birthday. When Beast Boy is endeared that Raven was the only one who cares, she slaps him and tells him point blank that she doesn't care about him, she does this because not celebrating birthdays can cause people to lose their "time anchors" and rapidly switch between being a baby, middle-aged, and old.
  • Jerkasses: The other Titans for not caring about Beast Boy's birthday, even Raven who only wanted to celebrate his birthday to prevent him from losing his time anchors and not because she cares about him.
  • Squick: In-Universe. The Titans have this as a result of having to eat Beast Boy's birthday cake which is soaked in candlewax and spit from when he was a baby trying to blow out the candles.
