Beast Boy's room is a complete mess, complete with hits own pig stye and a hobo named Sticky Joe, but he insists that all of his trash represents treasured memories.
- Big Damn Heroes: Despite being chased off by Robin earlier, Sticky Joe ends up saving the Titans from the collapsing trash dimension by pulling Robin out of the way of a falling trash pile and then breaking through a trash wall to escape back to Beast Boy's room.
- Collapsing Lair: Robin's insistence at cleaning up Beast Boy's trash if Beast Boy himself won't leads to him picking apart a load-bearing column in his trash dimension, which would have caused it to collapse and crush the Titans if not for the timely intervention of Sticky Joe.
- Expy: In a flashback to when he started loving trash, Beast Boy remembers watching a creature identical to Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street on television when he was just a kid.
- Near-Death Experience: Being subjected to Beast Boy's stink causes the other Titans' souls to leave their bodies, but Robin forces them back into their bodies instead of ascending.
- The Pig-Pen: When the Titans try to separate Beast Boy from his garbage collection, trash literally starts gravitating towards him like a magnet.
- Trash of the Titans: Beast Boy's room is absolutely horrendous, with his "collection" including patches of mold and a hobo. Eventually, when Beast Boy's insistence on keeping his junk leads to him hiding in his trash, the other Titans' attempt to follow him transports them into a dimension of trash.
- Visible Odor: The episode starts with Beast Boy surrounded by a green stink cloud after coming out of his room, which is thick enough for Cyborg to literally cut through.
